Designing a mobile experience for smarter, risk-free betting
Tipday — iOS App UI
Tipday was launched in 2014 as a social, skill-based betting platform. It aimed to help users make more informed decisions, track their tipping performance, and follow others — from friends to professional tipsters — without ever placing a real-money bet.
The app allowed users to compete in mini-leagues, view stats, and monitor tipster rankings, creating a more accessible and gamified way to engage with sports predictions.

My role: Designing a fast, focused mobile experience for sports tipsters
Following the launch of the Tipday website, I was brought in to design an iOS companion app. My focus was on helping users place tips quickly, stay engaged with their stats, and keep up with the leaderboards — all in a format optimised for mobile use.
Working with the product team, I created a clean UI that supported:
- One-handed navigation and quick tipping
- Real-time league updates and tipster leaderboards
- Simple, digestible stats so users could track their form over time
- A visual style that echoed the excitement of betting, without the pressure of real money on the line
The goal was to keep friction low and engagement high — creating an app that felt competitive and fun, but also approachable for users new to betting.
